It is an unjuried, uncensored festival for independent performers in theatre, dance, music and comedy. Participants send in applications and are chosen by lottery. Performers receive 100% of the box office proceeds. NIFF is proud to be a member of the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals.

NIFF stands out as all performers or performance groups feature a majority of Indigenous artists. Artists are guided by seasoned Indigenous mentors to refine their artistic practice and are given various artistic development opportunities.

NIFF takes place in the traditional lands of the Michi Saagiig, within the boundaries of the Williams Treaty and Treaty 20.
Performances will be held inside the Peterborough Theatre Guild, either in the main theatre space or the upstairs studio.
The Peterborough Theatre Guild is at 364 Rogers St.

Expect punctual starts for all shows. Given the limited audience capacity and short durations of the performances, punctuality is crucial. We suggest arriving 15 minutes prior to show time.

There is limited parking behind the building as well as street parking. We encourage people to use public transit and the theatre is a quick walk or bike from downtown Peterborough.
